I used carpet padding glued to inside of doorskin with contact cement.
I do not recommend doing this unless you cover the padding with
plastic, however. It should cover the top leading edge down to the
bottom of the door, effectively preventing itself from absorbing water,
which it does quite well (absorbs, I mean).

-ps...I did not put the plastic on my insulation. I will eventually
need to rip it out and replace it with plastic covered stuff, but it
sound proofs the doors real nice.
