OK, here's the info. I was strolling around my usual junkyard rounds and
I found this car just delivered to the yard.
1953 Sunbeam Talbot 90. It is a Drop Head Coupe, (convertible, but not
the sports model). It looks to be an abandoned restoration project.
It RUNS!, it looks to be complete all the way down to the hubcaps with
the cloisonne sunbeam badge in the center. It is gray in color,
obviously a bad respray from an amateur resto. The floors are perforated
with rust, but the interior looks to be original. The carpets are gone,
but the dash and everything looks to be functional. The chassis does not
have any major rust, just surface scale. Looks like it was stored
inside. It is a LHD car, and I would call it a restoration project.
There is rust in the sills, but nothing major.
I personally am an MGA person, but I could not let this thing stay there
for fear that it may get crushed.
The junkyard owners think it is worth $3,500, but we all know how
junkyard owners operate. They have the title.
email me or call me direct if you want more detail.
I personally think that if you turned up with $2,000 you would have a
car and title.
I have no financial stake in this, but the junkyard has a decent midget
parts car that I would like to get......at a cheaper price.....for
putting the junkyard owner in touch with a buyer.....
One parts hound helping out another.

cheers
