I am at wits end. Many of you may remember my message about one month
ago when my Alpine was cutting out during driving with no warning. I
would be at a good speed then loose all power, coasting to a stop and
not being able to restart. Well I thought I would start with the fuel
line, having this an original gas tank and plumbing.
The tank was removed, cleaned, repainted, new fittings, installed and
fired up. I drove to the gas station to fill the tank with fresh fuel
and a block back home, the same problem, except now it will not restart
at all.
Items changed since the problem began include grose jets installed,
Pertronix ignition installed. I found out the Pertronix units had a bad
ignitor if it ended in a 3 so I immediately checked my number and it was
a 2, so now I am back to the beginning with no ideas. Hard to imagine
the grose jets or the Pertronix since both have been checked and
rechecked, now I am asking for your help. Any ideas. Brent Kasl
