You could always mount it IN the bumper on a continental kit as my S.II's PO
had done - talk about aesthetics. I'd go with your hunch that it "belongs"
on the trunk.

Yes, the fins and all chrome over-riders were anachronisms by the time the
last of the S.IIIs were being titled in '64. Still, part of the quirky
appeal of the early series cars.
