Need some input from the list on this one:

I finally got my oil pump back from the machine shop and thought I was home
free to button up this 1725 rebulid for the Series 3 GT.
NOT!
I had the machine shop extent the drive by about 3/8" so I could keep my
early dist. with the tach drive. Much to my frustration, I beleive the
machinist did not mark the exact location as to where the slot was in
relation to the teeth AS I HAD INSISTED.
Therefore, I am now unable to get the 47-49 degree angle (2-8 o'clock) as
the manual describes.
What I get is either 25 degrees or 58 degrees.
Jim Leach! Help
Does anybody have any sugestions for this. Should I have him recut it and
weld it back right. Or can I use the 58 degree slot and have enough
movement so i don't hit the block with the vacume advance round thingy.

Help
