My Series I, B9000627, Body # 630, has the small plate screwed onto the
rear upright that says " RAS 001091". The hood support is in the
center and the ID plate on the left scuttle is the large aluminum one
that the print has largely disappeared from , with stamped serial and
body nos. Another plate with nothing but the body no. is on the right
scuttle. The car was built Oct.26-30, 1959.

As I said in my e-mail to Ian and Dave, my dash seems to be black
plastic or bakelite with a poor coat of gray/silver over it that may
have been applied by the previous owner, or was a sloppy factory job. It
has now mostly disintegrated and most of what is showing is black .
