Starting Question

Thanks to all who answered my concern regarding the problem in November
when my son reversed the polarity on his SV at the battery and hence the
car has not started since. Many of you thought the alternator had fried
diodes, which it did and was rebuilt to new. The starter was also amiss
with the armature and it has been rebuilt. Now it turns well but no
start. Now I am wondering if I need to look at the coil side of things.
Is it possible the coil, ballast resistor, points, condensor could have
been affected by this mistake. Any ideas welcome. Thanks Brent Kasl
