Rob,
The Series I grills are not the same as the Series IV and V's. I'm
assuming your's is a SI, right? The SI grille is not stainless, it is
chromed metal. It can easily be disassembled and cleaned up with steel
wool, or rechromed. The upper grille surround is made of plated brass.
Be very careful about sending this to a plater. They will assume it is
stainless and put it into their tank and it won't be there when they go
to remove it. I know from experience! - Ian
