Dear List,
Some of you know me as a contributor to this list - I wrote some "tech
tips" on the list web page, and I wrote the "Alpine Buyer's Guide." Now
unfortunately I find I have to sell my baby because I am moving to
Montreal, and the Canadian Bureau of Motor Vehicles won't allow
me to import it. I'd like to offer the car to list members
first before going to the "open" market. This is the third Alpine I've
owned, and is by far the best.
The car is a 1966 Series V, with 51,000 original miles. It is red with
black interior, and has BOTH the factory hard top and a new soft
top. Among the many extras: it has a killer sound system (10 CD changer,
subwoofer); new Weber carb (the original CD 150 Strombergs will be
included with the sale); and is in excellent condition. The car runs like
a dream and has been in no accidents.
I'd very much like to see it go to a list member. Price? Well, I'd like
to get $7500 but I will consider any reasonable and well-intentioned offer
above $5,000.
