I don't understand your problem with the Alpine. I live in Canada, and
two years ago went down to Missouri, purchased a S IV Alpine, and
trailered it home. Crossing the border was not an issue. The cars are
allowed to enter Canada, and basically any car more than 15 years after
the date of manufacture is allowed to enter the country without a
requirement to be modified to current standards.
If you can give me, privately, a synopsis of your dealings, and the
contact point you used, I will look into it for you from this end.
I hate to see someone selling a car he wants to keep.
