Ok, new Alpine owner, another question.
I installed the pertronox ignitor on my 66 Alpine V and now the timing
is way off.
At 800 rpm with the distributor cranked all the way counterclockwise,
(the vacuum advance is now up against the block) the best I can get,
(with the vacuum disconnected) is 30 degrees bftdc. With the points I
didn't have this problem.
Any thoughts?
Thanks
Matt
P.S. The centrifugal weights read 13 degrees. So I figure static 8 + 13
centrifugal should give me 21. If my math is correct. I took new math in
school so no telling what the correct answer should be.
