I had the same replacements that SS sells and did not attempt to
install them out of concern of destroying the threads in the chrome
housing. Though I didn't actually put them in, the sheet metal screws
looked too large to me to save the machine threads. I guess my
concerns were unfounded. Jay, can you confirm by reinstalling the
machine screws?
