Chuck,
The Volvo overdrive is identical internally, however the output shaft
terminates in a flange, and not a slip-yoke. I have always wanted to try a
Volvo unit on a Sunbeam box, and use an MGB telescopic (flanged on both ends)
driveshaft. They use the same universal joints as Rootes, and were available
in several different lengths, so it is possible the driveshaft wouldn't even
have to be changed in length. Just another idea...
