I left the tigers list and the british cars list out of the reply as I am
not sub-scribed to them, feel free to retransmit if needed.

Me thinks that the old car has become a scapegoat for the woes of industrial
pollution. The older cars are getting so few and far between that I cant see
them as being a significant impact upon the big picture.

What I do see is a great deal of 10 to 15 year old cars belching out smoke
due to poor maintanance and heavy milage. I see 5 of these newer vehicles
in poor condition to 1 reasomably maintained pre 74 vehicle.

I also see a great deal of diesel powered trucks driving the highways
spewing particulate and all forms of polution.

I suspect that ultimately the state of Ca will repeal the rolling 25 year
excemption and more of our cars will go to the crusher.
While this does bother me, fortunately I have financial stakes that
have me hoping that the government does put stricter emmisions regs
on these older vehicles.
Perhaps then I could sell some of my fuel injection systems.
