Hi Everyone:
It looks like the Email address in the attached message has been
deactivated. Torr Bishop (the owner of the Series I) didn't tell me
that when he gave me his card. Sorry to everyone who tried to contact
him - I guess I should have tried the Email address first to confirm.
I've got some responses that I'll print off and drop off at his
business. If anyone wants me to, I'll take their info to him.
Otherwise, if anyone's interested, this is his address and phone number:

Thanks again for the responses.

Subject: Series I Engine

Hi All:

Wandering around at lunch yesterday, I noticed a disassembled Series I
Alpine in a used car lot. I went over to check it out and ended up in a
conversation with the owner, who informed me that he was thinking of
building it up with a 327 or parting it out because the original engine
was gone. It's kind of funny, because he's got two of pretty much
everything else. Apparently the local machine shop, where he took it
for rebuilding, discovered that it had been punched out a couple of
times already and tossed the block. Anyway, I suggested that he
consider the V6 modification that a number of you have done and offered
to send along the URL with the articles covering the installation. As
we were talking, he told me that if he could get hold of a stock motor,
he'd like to put it together with the original engine. At that point, I
told him about this list and offered to post a note to see if there's
anyone out there with a rebuildable Series I block that they'd be
willing to sell. His Email address is Torrb(at)home.com, so you could
contact him directly if you can help him out. (it's in Victoria, BC)

Thanks.
