People,
Please note that not ALL Zeniths have the balls under the retaining
screw. According to WSM124 and the parts book, there are some models
that have the anti-drainback valve (aka them little ball bearings)
INSIDE the retaining screw. From the pics in the parts list it SEEMS
like the accel jets with a little 'trough' outlet have loose ball
bearings under the retaining screw, while the accel jets with a 'pipe'
outlet (it has a 45 degree angle on the end of the pipe) have the ball
inside the retaining screw.

Of course parts may have been swapped all over the place over the last
35 years so this is only a guide.

Moral:
Don't panic if your Zeniths don't have balls.

The late Ray Gibbons would have written a song about this! (Who's Ray?
See: http://www.team.net/sol/solers/gibbons.html)

Cheers,
Paul.
