Range Rovers were indeed carb'd then, but LR didn't use a
Holley!

Some random opinions/ideas...

You'd never be able to license this vehicle in my county
(Albuquerque, NM) and I suspect many others as well. Save
all the EFI parts if you ever want to resell this vehicle.

I suspect you're aware your EFI has a really high-pressure
fuel pump, which you'll have to replace with a
lower-pressure one. Don't know whether you can pump (suck)
through an electrically disconnected in-tank pump or whether
you'll have to figure out how to remove the pump and rig
some sort of pickup to replace the pump, which, of course,
is integral with the cover for the hole in the tank! It
might be easier to source a non-efi fuel tank from the UK,
which may or may not mount the same way your current tank
does.

Then, let's see ... ... Will you be able to figure out how
to get the thing to start without the EFI computer connected
to anything? Which pins on the computer connector to jump
to which other pins? (I'm actually not sure whether there
is or is not any computer interface to the distributor, but
...)

Amazing how much work might be required to go low-tech!
Compared to just learning how EFI works and carrying a few
spares ... Frankly, I think if you're good enough to make
this conversion work, you're way more than good enough to
make EFI work for you too! (Gotta agree EFI parts are
expensive, though, but they've lasted 10 years so far.)

PS:
Only saw your posting at "buick-rover-v8." If you're not
already connected, you can probably solicit or find more
opinions at the Rangie, Disco and Defender Owner list at
