Hello All,
Took my Solex'ed carb and Camed 69 2000 out for a spin today.
It was backfiring a lot?? It has always had a slight burbling with engine
braking but it was backfiring a lot today?? This is a new thing what could
be causing the car to just start backfiring??
Also, after the car gets warm and Ihave been driving it a while the
idle creeps up..way up to like 1500 rpm's?? If I get out of the car and push
down on the carb linkage the idle goes back down to ~600 rpm. But when I
give it gass it jumps back up?? It seems like the hotter the car gets the
faster it idles?? What could be going on?? Any help or advice would be
great appreciated.
