Hi All
Picked up a book entitled The complete Encyclopedia of Sport Cars (Classic
Era).

It has three pages on Nissan/Datsun Roadsters and Z-cars and contains so many
errors of fact that you have to either laugh or cry.
Some orime examples:
Above a picture of a white 1600 is the caption "The Fairlady was first sold in
the Benelux countries in Europe. This 1959 Fairlady has Belgian Number plates"
BTW the number plate looks like it is BSF-079 (could also be 85F-079) if any
of our European list members know it.

Above a picture of a Blue US spec 1600: "The Datsun SP-310 was known as the
Fairlady 1600 in Japan."

A paragraph on the SP 311: :The SP-311 was built to a design by the renowned
Count Albrecht Goertz.
Unfortunately you need to be shorter than 5ft 7in (1.70m) to fit in the car.
The SP-311 had a 2-liter engine and twin camshafts."

Above a picture of a 240Z rallye car: "Motor sport provided good publicity for
the 240Z. This car ran in the 1968 Monte Carlo Rally."

A syou may have guessed this book came from Europe. Originally published in
Holland with the English Translation edition done by Grange Publishing in
Britain. The Author, Rob de la Rive Box, is Dutch.

Now I know why I wrote my book (which I will admit has a couple of typo
errors).
