The switch of which you speak is tripped by an imbalance of pressure between
the front and rear braking systems.  If it trips you should see the red
BRAKE light come on if you have a 67.5-70 model car.  Earlier cars did not
have dual breaking systems, hence, no switch either.

Year 1966

On the brake fluid splitter/manifold/coupler, whatever you call that thing,
there is a switch that is screwed into it.

Is that the brake light switch on early cars? If not, what is it?

What is the part number for that item? I can not locate it in the fiche, so
I figure if I got the part number I can look it up that way in the part
number listing.
