Just over two years ago heading home from downtown, Trixie started
having some problems. Trixie is a 1968 (ish) Datsun 1600. As I would
push on the accelerator the lights would get brighter, as I left it off,
they would dim and the car would stall. I assumed that it was an
alternator issue, but parked the car and lifebs interferences began.

Now two years later, I have an uninstalled new alternator and belts
sitting in the garage. Four tires that need replaced. I am sure a
battery that is not only dead (lack of charge) but dead.

If it were you and you had a day to try and bring life back into Trixie,
what steps would you take?? I am sure charge the battery and try to
crank it would not be the best solution, but my default. Thus my
question to the group.
