I have checked my records and the stock rod weight with stock "Bees" rod
bolts was 859 grams. The lightened weight was 740 with standard bolts. The
bolts weigh 80 grams. Arp bolts would be lighter. the pistons were 460
grams, the pins 105 grams, the ring set was 35 grams. The inertia loads at
TDC overlap is what causes the rod breakage. The "pop up" pistons that I am
using now, the pop up is only .070" inch high weigh 421 grams without pin or
rings.
                                                                    regards,
Greg Solow
