We certainly ran slick racing tires, alternate wheels within a specified
width from stock,  ( as I rmemeber you could exceed the stock dimension by ½
inch) limited body work changes, no light weight panels, no alternate
carburetors, close ratio gears for the stock gearbox, limited slip diff or
lockers or locked diff, lots of engine mods but with the stock head and
block and stock rockers and valves stock ignition except for a transistor
box and coil NO alternate suspension systmes that were not of the same type
as supplied in the production vehicle, (I.E.  no tube shock replacment for
lever shocks etc,  Springs were free but of the same type as the stock
parts. You could add anti roll bars to either end, larger radiators were
permited of an alternate material if wished, alternate pulleys on the water
pump and alternator or generator, alternate types of drive belts for the
water pump or generator or alternator, stock brakes except for venting and
material of the pads or shoes.  How's that for a start???   .
