I love answering this.
For short hauls like Blackhawk and Road America, I use a 1950 Chevrolet One
Ton Panel Truck. Everything on it is 1950 except the engine (a 1968 straight
six (292 ci)), electric wipers. We also converted the electricals to 12
volt. It is Serial Number 1, and was custom made by Chevrolet in Janesville,
Wisconsin. They can't remember, but they made five or six of them. I two a
20' Pace American enclosed trailer. It's a hoot, and often more exciting
than the racing.
For the longer hauls, I use a Chevrolet AstroVan and a small custom made,
open trailer, with surge operated disc brakes.
