Not all forms of vintage racing allow modern parts to be used. Back in he mid '80s when I raced at the Monterey Historics with my '57 TR3, we had to use period tires as well. And aftermarket ignition systems are still not as easy to diagnose on the side of the road as a good old fashioned set of points. Steve Hedke |
