A guy named cannon built a series of racers in the sixties that are still
raced today. As I recall his nephew runs one of them at the Monterey
Historics. Big heavy car that looks kind of like a slab-sided cheetah. I
think it uses a Buick V-8, though I wouldn't trust my memory. Pretty fast,
evil handling.

Just curious...why do you presume it is a Triumph?

I have no recollection of any such vehicle?  Perhaps
Mike Cook may know something.
