That too.
My agency has a big technology base, valuable client relationships,
and bushels of confidential information. Oregon has draconian
confidentiality laws (thanks to Tektronix and Intel) and we are very
careful to dot the t's and cross the i's to make our non-comp and
confidentiality agreements binding when we hire someone. With all
that going for us, the few times we've had to release the lawyers
from hell, the only value was lots of shared pain between us and the
miscreants. If you're in a better position to stand the pain then you
sort of win.
