Come on!!!! Cool fuel, Only since the middle ages. We ALWAYS did this. On my 
Vitesse  (1972) I had a cool can in the engine compartment that was full of 
ice and cooled the fuel before it went to the carbs.  Not quite as effective 
as in the tank, but then it was within the regulations. We tried in every 
way possible  with the GTP cars to keep the fuel cool (and the tires hot). 
Some tricks were never found. This is what we did for a LIVING. We paid 
attention.  The F-1 guys are more than that.
