Lack of fuel?
More pump pressure - larger float valve - larger connection between float
chamber and jet?

Hope this helps?
Chris

Possibly resonance, you might be getting a node right around the jet
area. You could try a different trumpet and see what happens--anything
that changes the length of the intake should change the resonance of
the system.

another possibility is float bowl frothing induced by carb vibration,
or the float bouncing up and down.

One more reason I'd like to get rid of the SU's on the Ambro--I really
don't want to learn all about these carbs.
