Rose Bud is a very special TR3. Doug Ross was a very special person, too.
I have a picture of Doug & and Rose Bud in my office. It is a panoramic view
of the FOT at Mid-Ohio.
He joined us at mid-Ohio, not to race, but to be with the Triumph Folks. I
invited him to stage Rose Bud with us for the panoramic picture.
He was exceptionally grateful. Later, I got a letter from him explaining
why it was so important for him to be a part of the weekend and the picture. I
spoke to him on the phone a few days before he died. He remained upbeat to
the end, I believe.
