Right,
Kas has described that tweak but this was with racing pushrods.
The stock pushrods have welded ends...no chance to drive them in after the
lathe job!

If you or a buddy have access to a lathe, you can chuck up the pushrod and
use a parting tool to remove just the end of the tube (next to the cup where
the adjuster rides).  Then tap the cup farther into the tube.  ISTR Kas
described this in one of the "Comp Prep" books.

But you could probably also get shorter pushrods in just a few days, if you
call around a bit.  When I got mine from Ken G., he had them on the shelf.
