  I assume these EGT readings are for a 4 stroke piston engine.  I'd have a
tough time using any of the EGT monitoring systems I've seen, since rotary
engine exhaust runs in the 1700-2000 degree range. (Hot and LOUD!) Most
gages peak at 1700 degrees.  Just thinking about that exhaust temperature
makes me want to mount another fire system for the engine compartment.
