My understanding is that NYC garbage truck drivers with Ford trucks were tired of getting stomped by New Jersey drivers who had GMC trucks. Even today flathead guys avoid running against Jimmies by splitting X classes into there own little Ford-Merc group. Rich Fox XO/BAlt record |
