Fuel System tech?

I know alot of folks are out there building cars so I thought I would get
this in the Archieves before I forgot what has happened with the Fuel
system.

When I started racing the Camaro I had a Mechanical Pump on the Motor...
which starved it for Fuel and Burn a couple of Pistons...

Thinking More has to be better I went way out on a limb and got a BG 280
electric pump and plumbed in an Earls in line Filter....( you know the
Pretty little Blue one... looks alot like a Filter only Smaller )  They Said
the pump was good to 650hp.... well at 300hp that was more then Ample....

As we started getting ready for the Nitrous the Folks noted that the Filter
was after the Pump instead of before it.... as it should be..... Oh and they
thought it might be a bit small..... ( okay alot Small )

I just plumbed in a Fram Fuel Filter before the pump.... It will flow about
ten times what the Earls would....

Oh by the way the Earls.... starved the C motor for Fuel and I think that is
why I was getting such a radical increase in EGT's on the Dyno.... Marginal
system and when you add the little bit of junk in the Filter... Plus the
stuff you can't see that is clogging it... I think we found our Problem

Bottom line.... Fuel Filter Prior to the Pump.... Make sure the Restrictions
in fittings are kept to an absolute minimun and Have fun with those Damn
Stainless Lines.... ( what a Pain in the Butt )
