Hi Folks, wanted to tell you a story Scott Guthrie told me on Saturday
at Maxton.

He had his new 1400cc Suzuki Hayabusa, the Bonneville record bike, to
try for some ECTA records. All stock body and with the front brakes
back on it.

On one run, over 200, he braked hard, and the front wheel instantly
locked due to some sand on the course. Simultaneously, the fork snapped
sideways. He was an instant away from bouncing at 200 mph on the
pavement! Fortunately, he was able to save the situation by releasing
the front brake and jerking the fork back straight again, so the bike
recovered stability and he was again able to brake hard and stop safely
in the limited distance there.

Needless to say, after that experience he had to go back and sit down
for a while to recover his composure.

Makes you think, doesn't it?

Well, it's a nice sunny cool day here in the Great Dismal Swamp. Time
to unload the Ardun.

Cheers, ArdunBill
