The interesting part of spectating at World of Speed for me is the
incredible sounds of the cars.  They are all so identifiable and you really
pay attention when some big, blown fuel rig fires up at the starting line.
Love to have them there but the electric cars just don't cut it in the
volume department.
When you are in the pits at Speed Week and something under full power goes
by you usually will see a lot of heads turn.  I like being closer to the
starting line at WOS so you can hear the start.
That first cough of an engine in the pits, early in the morning is enough to
send the hair on the back of your neck upright.  Then when you have
something like Friday's sunrise for a backdrop ... WOW!
Most of the comments I hear from the workers are to the indication that they
think their individual job and their "spot" on the salt is the most
interesting place to be.  Really keeps your interest when that is the way
you feel about it.
