Wes I have said from the very first time meeting Keith that he reminds
me of John Force. Very excitable when things go right. Years ago John
Force after winning a final round would spout out 100 words before
taking a breath. Then start gasping for air between words. I also have
found another similarity between the 2. John Force is one of the few
that would actual take time to stop and talk to fans between rounds
while others would walk around with there heads up in the clouds or
some other dark cavern. This weekend was a great demonstration of
Keith's personality. While we were elbow deep trying to swap heads on
the girlie Camaro no less than a dozen times people would stop by just
to say hello. That they were there for the first time after reading
the Hot Rod article. They weren't given a glance and a brush off but
rather Keith would stop what he was doing, shake their hand, and
welcome them, some times chatting for long periods of time. He took
the time to actually be interested in what they had to say and answer
their questions in depth. No one would have known that Keith was in
the middle of a heated points battle, trying to get a decent run laid
down that weekend, the way he was leisurely chatting with everyone
stopping. Mentally he might have been a wreck, but physically he
wasn't showing it. Made me proud to be hanging around someone like
that this weekend.
