Mel Tull (805)466 2162 in Atascadero, CA is the guy who went 175 one way
a few years ago in a Buick Straight-8 powered stock head XXO/STR at
Bonneville.
He hasn't run the car in several years and I haven't seen him for a
while, so I hope the phone # is OK.
Mel was also working on a Buick Inline Eight motor that was under 325ci
and used 2 Toyota 2000cc heads mated to the original block (with a new deck).
He had the billet crank roughed out about 8 years ago. He also talked of
selling the project.
He might have some parts that your friend with the DD Dragster could use.
