Tim, One of my best friends has a REAL STEEL Bantam roadster,
a complete car that he last drove ( on the street ) about two years ago . It
is
powered by, of all things, a Ford V8 60 flathead, and was built in the late
Forties
by some oval track midget racecar driver here in the Northeast, which is
evident
upon looking at the suspension and running gear ...... very similar to track
midgets of that era . He hasn' t worked on it in a year or so ( the old too
many
car projects at one time problem ) and has been considering selling it .
The car is apart, and he might consider selling it less the little
136 "
powerhouse . I have some photos of him and Darrell sitting in it ...... they
would have more room in a bumper car, and since Jim is 6' 4" he does look
quite absurd in it . If you might consider buying it, contact me off -
list, and
I will hook you up with him . Those Bantams are REALLY small ...... and
this is one real one that is NOT a refugee from a drag strip !
                  Bruce
