Keith,
 I use checklist all the time and used them in the middle 80's on the first
car on the salt. We also have a dry erase board in the trailer to make notes
on as we learn things we don't want to forget.
 Checklists started in my life when I worked on Hydrogen bombs in the
service. No room for error there.
