Keith,

Thanks for the info on the RX7. That would explain why it wasn't in the
program, as John had mentioned, and why nobody made a fuss about the class.
Their best speed was in the mid 130's, as I recall. Someone's already run
off with my magazine!

Hey Keith, was there anybody you didn't talk to at Speedweek?

Why it's right here between Parrot Swamp and Jumpin' Run, on the Sand
Ridge Road. If you break out the road atlas and draw a line between
Swansboro (Population 1165) and Kellumtown (Too few to mention) we're
right in the middle, roughly five miles inland from Bear Island.
Most of this area was high and dry during the terrible flooding of
Hurricane
Floyd, but I hate to think how bad it could've been if the barrier islands
didn't
take the brunt of the ocean overwash. I saw where waves that must've been
50 footers crashed over Bear Island during that storm.
We're so close to Camp Lejeune that my house is full of cracks from the
regular
shaking it gets during artillery range firing, and now the Navy is firing
naval guns here
as well. No protests around here; we call it The Sound of Freedom!

Chuck
