I can't confirm that, Simon-Pierre, but I can report that on a trip to
England in '64, I attended a Sprint Meeting of the Vincent Owners Club,
and witnessed the arrival of one impecuniast on his Vin, pal on the
back, and after alighting they placed a can under the power unit to
catch the drips, before removing the spark plug covers as a
theft-prevention strategy. Bill
