Lets look at this from a reality point of view. You need not use 'event' gas
until you qualify for a record. You won't enter the impound until this step
has been accomplished. At Bonneville I would guess that very, very few street
cars are capable of setting a record. If they do qualify then the 'event' gas
must be in the tank and properly sealed. This applies to open classes as well
as classes where a record exists.
At Maxon I have not heard of how it was handled this past weekend. With many
open records still in the book a street driven car or bike can be in the
running for a record.
