Dick mentions replacing the front seal. Relative to crank and cam seals a
number of different materials are produced and sold in the aftermarket. It
is wise to use only "Viton" (fluoro elastomer) material. Many rebuild kits
provide silicon which has a tendency to burn when run dry (the first few
minutes of operation.) One of my sponsors has been Chicago Rawhide, who of
course provide the Best radial lip seals in the world....:=d
