Do date, I have only run my car at Maxton. I'm currently doing some upgrades
to it, and want to make it Bonneville/El Mirage legal at the same time. My
interpretation of the SCTA rules is that the car must have all safety equipment
equal to the record for the class you are running. Since my car doesn't stand a
cold chance in July of attaining a Bonneville or El Mirage record speed, if I
register for Time Only, will the tech inspection determine the maximum speed
that I will be allowed to run? I'm building the car to run Maxton as a
C/ClassicGasAltered, and at the same time to160 mph safety specs. Since the
Bonneville/El Mirage records in all of the classes that I might run are all
over 200 mph, can I enter at Bonneville or El Mirage for T/O, and will the tech
inspection say that my speed limit is 160 mph?
