In 30 years never thrown a chain link circlip make sure the open end faces
away from the direction of travel and place a small dab of silastic on the two
pins and clip it wont go nowhere promise

Bill, I was always told to connect the spring clip with the closed end
leading, don't know if it makes any difference but thats what it stated on
the odd package.
Any comment ?
