Congratulation Katie! I am sorry I didn't get to see you at the Salt.
But, there were so many there this year and the pits were very large (a
plus) and we were busy with our project.

We were successful in reaching our goal this year. We got the D/GCC
record back, putting my youngest son, Barry in the Club @ 228.843 MPH.
Then a bonus...my brother Gary, from the St. Louis area, who has been
coming every year since 1986, first starting his licensing in the
Pierson Coupe and getting his "A" license last year, qualified the car
on Thursday @ 230.085 and returned Friday AM @ 229.390 for a 229.737 MPH
average and a RED HAT.

It was a great week for us. We made 12 runs, all above 225 MPH except
for the last two 224 & 223 respectively (tuneup runs, finding out what
doesn't work).

I will get a long version of our week out later.

Tom, Redding CA - 216 D/GCC Record Holder
