I nver said the hemi was the way to go... Not me not now not ever..
I bet the Ford guys did write the rules LOL..
i also bet you can judge the relative amount of power you engine has by the size
of the rod bolts and how long they lasted.. That 301 if it was like most had
11/32 rod bolts and some mightly skinny rods.. I also seriously doubt if it ever
made 2 hp per inch or anything even close to that..
