I disagree.  I think I understand "where Joe was coming from", and (to me)
he expressed his feelings very well, and very powerfully.

How is it demeaning to someone to suggest that they had Christ-like
characteristics?

I appreciate Joe's posting, and I am offended that someone would criticize
him for this.

This comment was really in bad taste.
It also demeans the passing of an individual who was admired, respected,
and yes even envied.
