Thanks for the info. So to understand -- the "box" is optional? -- if I
raised the transmission up enough so that it did not protrude through the
step pan no opening would be required and therefore no box. The transmission
would then have to be serviced or removed through the cockpit.
Floorboards--- can the step pan then function as a floorboard?
